Food Recalls

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), each year an estimated 48 million people get sick from a foodborne illness, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die.

The following are recent recalls of food products from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA/FSIS).

If the product details in a recall notice match the details on the food product you have at home, do not open or consume the product. Instead, do one of the following:
  • Return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
  • Dispose of the product following the instructions provided in the recall notice to assure it will not be consumed by anyone.
For more information, see What to do if you have a recalled food product.

The Lake County Health Department lists these recalls as a public service, and does not endorse either the products or the companies listed.
