Low Birth Weights (LBW)

Low birth weight babies are defined by the CDC as, "babies that are born with a birth weight of less than 2,500 grams". Low birth weight is a significant factor involved in infant deaths. Those babies who survive are at increased risk for health problems ranging from neurodevelopmental disabilities to respiratory disorders.
