Paula Trigg was appointed County Engineer and Director of Transportation in September 2012. She joined the professional management team at the Lake County Division of Transportation in 2006 as Director of Planning and Programming. Paula's experience at the Division of Transportation includes managing the DOT's public meetings and hearings process, assisting in the development of the DOT's annual, 5-year and 20-year programs, and coordinating projects and issues with regional and state agencies, county departments and local governments.

Paula retired June 30, 2017 after 11 years at the Division of Transportation. Al Giertych, P.E., the Division’s Assistant County Engineer, has been named Acting County Engineer/Director of Transportation until Paula's successor is hired.
